| For what it is worth as a comparative note, annarbor.com reports that U-M President Coleman is "taking a pay freeze at last year's level." i.e. a base salary of $553K. Her total compensation is $760K, however, not including the home and car the university also provides to her. Last year she received a 4% raise. Among her accomplishments that might merit compensation at that level is her successful completion of a fund-raising campaign that brought in $3.2 billion(!) between 2001 and 2008.
